Reference Policy and Procedure Documents
An IPM plan consists of three basic elements: preventing pests from accessing collections, monitoring collections to determine pest levels, and, if/when necessary, treating any outbreaks. The following documents were created by members of the Integrated Pest Management Working Group – Standards & Best Practices committee to assist institutions in formulating and writing an IPM policy document and the specific procedures needed for implementation. The documents contain suggested headers and topics to cover. For definitions explaining the difference between policy and procedure documents please reference the IPM Glossary.
